5 Detox Water Recipes

Try these amazing recipes for DIY detox waters that promote health, diet and weight loss. Cleanse your skin, body and brain with these homemade teas and waters to lose weight and restore energy. 1. Chia Detox Water

Chia seeds are a superfood that everyone needs to have in the pantry. Did you know you could add them to water and drink it?

Chia seeds are gluten free and a good source of calcium and fiber. They are also supposed to help curb your appetite.

Ingredients:

1 – 12oz glass of water
1 Tablespoon Chia seeds
Juice from 1 lime
1/4 teaspoon agave nectar

Instructions:

Fill a glass jar with a lid with drinking water
Add chia seeds to water. Place lid on the jar and shake well. Let set for 10 minutes
Add juice from 1 lime and 1/4 teaspoon agave nectar. Shake again and drink

2. Apple Cinnamon Detox Water

Detox water recipes with apple are beneficial to you for a number of reasons. Apples contain pectin and pectin will bond to the heavy metals in your system which lets them be flushed from your body more easily which in turn helps your liver. Apples also contain antioxidants and flavonoids like Vitamins C and B Complex. To make this detox water even healthier,add cinnamon to it. Cinnamon is super healthy and helps balance your blood sugar.

Ingredients:

2 organic apples
2 cinnamon sticks (food grade)
water

Instructions:

Cut the apples into large chunks. Be sure you leave the skin on.
Fill a Mason jar with chunks of apple, add 1 cinnamon stick and fill with water.
Let sit overnight in the refrigerator.
Serve over ice if you want or drink as is.

3. Detox Spa Cucumber Water

There is nothing more refreshing than a cool glass of Cucumber Lemon Water. This classic detox water recipe will help your body detox and flushes you out, and it tastes great, too.

Ingredients:

1/2 lemon thinly sliced
1/4 cucumber thinly sliced- save 2 slices to place on your eyes
water

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients in an airtight container and leave to steep overnight in the fridge.

Do not allow to sit for longer than 48 hours.

4. Lemon Ginger Detox Drink

Ginger is a powerful detox ingredient that helps to kick start your metabolism. Sipping a ginger infused beverage will have your metabolism on the rise throughout the day, allowing you to flush fat even as you take in your daily meals, and will burn extra calories as you workout. Lemons are a natural detoxifier. And with their diuretic effect, your body will more easily shed unwanted toxins.

Simply add the juice of a half of a lemon to a glass of water, and then grate your ginger into the glass. It’s an easy prep way to detox and flush the fat away, and it’s a great way to hydrate while enjoying some vibrant, natural flavor!

Ingredients:

1 12-ounce glass water, at room temperature
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2-inch knob of ginger root

Directions:

Add the lemon juice to the glass of water. Finely grate the ginger by using a zester, add to the glass of water. This drink is a perfect way to start your day!

5. Raspberry And Mint Scented Water

This recipe includes raspberries which are packed with vitamin C, and help boost your immune system at the same time.

The mint gives it a fresh flavor and helps you detox too.

Note: You can use raspberries instead of strawberries. The fruits infuse better and delicate shade of pink takes place.

 

Ingredients:

2 litres cold spring water, or filtered tap water

2 Tablespoons raspberries, fresh or frozen

2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves

1 lime

Directions:

To get more flavour and juice out of your lime, microwave for 30 seconds. When cool, slice
Place raspberries, mint, lime and water in a large jug. Stir and serve!
